Michelle Hurd is an American actress. She recently appeared as Donna in the 2017 TV series – “Younger”. But, is probably most known for being Angela Roney in 1997 “Law & Order”.
The actress is also admired for her roles as Shepherd in “Blindspot” (2016), Linda Bates Emery in “Ash vs Evil Dead” (2015), Samantha Reyes in “Daredevil” (2016) and Colleen Manus in “The Glades”.
Michelle Hurd’s Broadway theatre credits include her role as Charmaine in the play written by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth – “Getting Away with Murder”. Two decades ago, the play ran for 17 performances on Broadway.
The actress appeared in television productions such as “Another World”, “Vanishing Son II”, “New York Undercover” and “The Cosby Mysteries” before she was spotlighted and picked for her “Law & Order” role. It is believed her portrayal of a corrupt FBI informant earned her the Detective Monique Jeffries role in Law & Order’s spin-off – ” Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”.
Sometime in 2014, Hurd attracted much attention to herself after she joined the increasing number of women coming forth with allegations of sexual assault and harassment against the once-highly esteemed comedian, Bill Cosby.

“I did stand-in work on The Cosby show back in the day and YES, Bill Cosby was VERY inappropriate with me. It started innocently, lunch in his dressing room, daily, then onto weird acting exercises.
“… He would move his hands up and down my body. I was instructed to NEVER tell anyone what we did together, (he said other actors would become jealous) and then, fortunately, I dodged the ultimate bullet with him when he asked me to come to his house, take a shower so we could blow dry my hair and see what it looked like straightened.
“At that point, my own red flags went off and I told him, ‘No, I’ll just come to work tomorrow with my hair straightened’.”
