For true fans of the Twilight film series, Rachelle Lefevre was one of the main reasons why the film was such a huge hit. It was therefore very saddening when she did not get the chance to reprise her role in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third installment of the film series after she was replaced by . Rachelle Lefevre – Biography

Rachelle Lefevre was born Rachelle Marie Lefevre on the 1st of February 1979 in Montreal, Quebec. The identities of her parents are unknown, however, her father, who is of French and Northern Irish origins, is known to have worked as an English teacher while her mother, who is of Jewish origins, was a Psychologist. She has three sisters.

For her education, Rachelle attended Centennial Academy and then enrolled to study creative arts at Dawson College in Westmount, Quebec. She later spent two summers studying theater at the Walnut Hill School in Natick, Massachusetts, before enrolling at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

While studying to get her degree, Rachelle Lefevre supported herself by working as a waitress. As fate would have it, a Canadian television producer who was a regular customer at the sushi bar she worked in, overheard her talking about her desire to become an actress. The said producer then helped her land her first audition, which was for a role in the sitcom Student Bodies. Rachelle failed to land a spot on the show but she did, however, leave an impression on the casting director, who later called her back for another audition, this time for a role in Big Wolf on Campus, which she got.

Following her breakthrough into the acting world, Rachelle Lefevre has appeared in films like Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), which was ‘s directorial debut, See Jane Date (2002), and Hatley High (2003). In 2004, she made the bold decision to move to Hollywood in order to further her career. This turned out to be the best decision she ever made as she went ahead to land roles in films like Noel (2004), Head in the Clouds (2004), which starred and , and The River King (2005).

Between 2005 and 2008, Rachelle made guest appearances on numerous TV shows, such as Bones, What About Brian, How I Met Your Mother, The Close, CSI: NY, Boston Legal, and Life on Mars among many others. After her run of appearing in TV shows, she played the renegade vampire character of Victoria Sutherland in Twilight (2008), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012). Other notable films which she appeared in around this time include Casino Jack (2010), Barney’s Version (2010), and The Caller (2011).

In recent times, Rachelle Lefevre has appeared in films like White House Down (2013), Homefront (2013), Edge of Winter (2016), and Hollow in the Land (2016). For tv shows, she has appeared in Under the Dome (2013-2015), Mary Kills People (2018), and Proven Innocent (2019).

Who is Her Husband?

Rachelle Lefevre has been in a long term relationship with chef and TV personality Chris Crary. According to reports, the two began seeing each other in 2013 after they first established contact on a social media platform. As the story goes, Rachelle did not know who Chris was when he reached out to her on Twitter with an offer to cook for her, writing; “When are you coming into the restaurant so I can cook for you?”

Due to the response the tweet got from various fans, Rachelle had a look at his profile and discovered that he was the chef de cuisine at the Viceroy in Santa Monica. She proceeded to take him up on his offer, going to the restaurant and having a good night eating incredible food and drinking great wine. By the time Chris came out of the kitchen to join his guest, she was already smitten so he did not have to say much more to impress her.

Rachelle and Chris have since maintained a very loving relationship, and have gone ahead to get engaged to one another. There are however conflicting reports as to when exactly the engagement occurred, as some publications have put the date in 2014 while others report it to be in 2016. In regards to them having walked down the aisle, both parties have remained mum on the issue although Rachelle did call Chris her husband in a 2017 tweet, prompting speculation that the two might have had a secret wedding.

1. Although Rachelle Lefevre was raised in a non-denominational household, she identifies as Jewish. It is not clear if this has to do with her stepfather being a rabbi.

2. Despite having tried to balance life as an actress and student, attending McGill University in between shoots to complete the requirements for a degree, Rachelle was awarded one as she ended up quitting.

3. She is involved with a number of charitable and non-profit organizations. They include the breast cancer charity Susan G. Komen for The Cure, the homeless children tutoring charity School On Wheels, and animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society.
