Ty Simpkins is an American actor who started out as a child and has become a famous name in Hollywood. He is best known for his major roles in movies such as the Jurassic World (2015), Iron Man 3 (2013) and Insidious (2011).
Simpkins has been active since 2005 and has featured in several movies and television shows. So far, he has appeared in more than a dozen films and has been nominated for four awards for his role in Jurassic World (3x) and Iron Man 3 (1x). He won an award for Best Performance by a Young Actor in 2016 for his performance in American science fiction adventure film – Jurrasic World.

Ty Simpkins was born on August 6, 2001, in New York City and grew up alongside his older sister Ryan Simpkins who is also an actress. He completed his high school in New York City, and all the while was already a child actor.
Simpkins caught the attention of the audiences at the tender age of 5 in 2006, when he appeared in the acclaimed drama Little Children. Before then, he already appeared on screen for the first time when he was just three weeks old.
Acting Career
Ty appeared on the soap opera One Life to Live in 2001-2002, followed by a recurring role as Jude Cooper Bauer in Guiding Light (2001-2005). He then debuted his movie career in Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds (2005) as a three-year-old.
He also made a guest appearance in the television drama series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, plus a handful of commercials and print advertisements. Simpkins played a young version of ‘s character in the political drama film All the King’s Men in 2006. The same year, he landed the role of Aaron in the multiple-award-winning drama, Little Children, a film that is based on the 2004 novel of the same name and written by Tom Perrotta. He acted alongside his sister Ryan in Pride and Glory in 2008, in which they featured as children of .
Ty Simpkins got assigned to two other movie projects that year including Gardens of the Night (2008) and then in Revolutionary Road (2008), a film he again starred alongside his real-life sister Ryan Simpkins.
He made a guest appearance on Family of Four and CSI, Private Practice and later on signed to portray the character of Luke in The Next Three Days (2010). His follow up and major movie projects include, Insidious (2011); Arcadia (2012); Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013).
His role as Harley Keener in Iron Man 3, alongside in 2013 made it the first time a child actor was featured prominently in the Marvel Comic character. He also signed a 3-picture deal with the motion picture studio and later starred the 2016 film, The Nice Guys.
In 2015, he was featured as one of the lead actors in three movies including the blockbuster Jurassic World; Hangman and played Adam in the film Meadowland.
Besides featuring on screen, the talented star lent his voice for video games such as Lego Dimension (2015), Lego Jurassic Park (2015) as well as in Lego Marvel’s Avengers (2016). He was last seen onscreen in the movie Barbados and is believed to be working on another big project that is in post-production for 2019.

Ty Simpkins is the only son and the second born of his parents, Monique Simpkins and Stephen Simpkins. He’s from a Christain home and the family shares a close bond which he occasionally shares on his Instagram page. The young actor and his family currently live in Los Angeles, California.
To the chagrin of a lot of fans who are crushing over the handsome actor, Ty Simpkins has a girlfriend Jordan Wilson, whom he shared on a photo on Instagram with a sweet caption which says, “she’s almost as dreamy as” his “eyes.”
While some fans praised their photos on Instagram, others didn’t find it amusing or are not happy about it. When he first posted a picture with Jordan on Twitter captioning it “My Girl,” on August 25, 2015, fans speculated on whether or not she was really his girlfriend. Then he made it clear on September 28, 2017, after tweeting about his “girlfriend” on one of his Twitter posts.
