Now is a good time as any to go on a tour and what’s the location? It’s Will Smith’s house, yes folks, let’s take a look at the place the Fresh Prince calls home and the people he shares it with. We expect nothing less than practical perfection from the actor, producer, and multiple Grammy award winners and we are sure you do too. So without further ado, let’s get a’ touring.

Once a house makes it onto the pages of the Architectural Digest, you know it’s not only glamorous but classy, but we don’t expect any less from the Smith clan. From the neighborhood to the house itself, we’ve got to hand it to them, they represented. The house itself, is located in a confined area in Santa Monica mountain range, above Malibu near Calabasas, California.
In case you didn’t know, Calabasas is that popular neighborhood that houses stars like Drake, the Kardashians, Dwayne Johnson and JLo. So they are quite close to a celeb populated area. OK, back to the subject matter, Will Smith’s 25,000 square foot mansion was designed by Stephen Samuelson with architect Harry Perez-Daple. So it was definitely built from scratch just for the Smith clan.
If you have never heard of an adobe styled mansion before, let us educate you. They are of American- Indian origin and are mainly characterized by massive stucco walls with rounded edges and exposed timber beams and supports. Think The Flintstones, with a dash of modern sophistication and you have a perfect picture of an adobe styled house.
Apart from an array of living rooms and rustic bedrooms, the house also features a pool table, a lake gazebo, a meditation room, a recording studio, a screening room, and a free form pool. We obviously cannot see the whole house, but here’s a pretty, spot on, cross section of Will Smith’s house.

First impressions really do matter and the entrance of a house speaks volumes. Well, the Smith’s have it covered on this front, with a front door acquired from a fort in northern India; a cowhide rug, a lovely full mirror and potted plants for that earthy look.

The Smith family must have a thing for living rooms because they have at least three, it was not easy to pick one for you today, but we did it anyway. This room, has at least three different types of seats, our favorite is the lovely set of ’60s Brazilian rosewood chairs and the floor is graced by a beige silk area rug.

The house has two dining rooms, and we totally get it; one is a bit more formal than the other. Take a wild guess, which one did we pick. We went ‘formal’ today, the walnut dining chairs and table sit on a silk-wool rug that is begging you to sink your feet right into it.

What is a house without a breathtaking kitchen? Well, we don’t know guys, we just assume that every house has one. The kitchen at Will Smith house definitely represents, it’s a breath of fresh air to see oak panels rather than the steel ones everyone is going for these days.

We couldn’t do all the rooms, so we decided to pick one at random. The custom made platform bed lies on a silk rug and there are comfy lounge chairs that bring the whole setting together.

Need we say more, every Hollywood house has one and the get more creative by the day. The Smith’s enjoy a free form pool that blends with the earthy, natural aesthetics of the house.
We can honestly say that the Smith’s sure make ‘staying at home’ seem like the ultimate dream, it’s a lovely piece of real estate with a tailored exterior and an even more spot on interior thanks to interior designer Judith Lance.

Every family is a family like no other, but the Smith family gives a whole new dimension to this. Yes, there’s a mummy, or two, a daddy and kids, but there’s so much more to that. Here’s all you need to know in a nutshell.
The entire Smith family is into show biz. Will is an actor and producer, his first wife, Sheree, was a reality TV star, and his present wife, Jada, is a well known actress. The kids are in on it too, his first son Trey is an actor, musician and accomplished DJ, Jayden and Willow are into everything from acting to singing to modelling, you name it.
Willow Smith was not planned for, we believe Jada’s exact words were, ‘Willow was an ‘Ooops’ baby! I was just starting to wean Jaden and I’d only had one cycle since the birth, so I thought I had some time. Then I got my surprise…’
Jayden Smith is one of those guys who takes gender fluidity seriously, he wear skirts (enough said).
There have been multiple rumors about the couple splitting up that these days they don’t even bother to lay them to rest, they just go on living their lives… TOGETHER.
