Christian Eriksen Bio
Christian Dannemann Eriksen was born on 14 February 1992 in Middelfart, Denmark. He began his youth career with his local team Middelfart G&BK. After a decade with the side, Eriksen continued his youth career at Odense Boldklub. In his first season at OB, he was named the “Best Technical Player”.
At the age of 17, Eriksen’s skills began attracting interest from a number of big European clubs, among them AC Milan, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United. Eriksen joined Ajax in 2008 on a 2.5-year contract worth about €1 million.
At Ajax, he rapidly progressed through the youth ranks and about two years later, he was promoted to the senior team. As years passed, so did Eriksen’s abilities improve; thus, he soon became a key player for the Dutch side. He led the team to the Eredivisie title in 2010/2011, it was the team’s first trophy in 7 years. Ajax won the title again in the two subsequent seasons that would follow.
With one year still left on his contract, Eriksen decided it was time for new challenges. In August 2013, he joined premier league side Tottenham Hotspur on a deal worth £11 million. His first goal for the English side came in a Europa League match against Norwegian club Tromsø IL in September 2013.

The son of football coaches Dorthe and Thomas Eriksen, Christian Eriksen had the support of his parents from day one. Both football coaches by profession, Eriksen’s parents coached him at his local club Middelfart G&BK and constantly watched out for his best interest, helping him pick the best teams as he advanced in his career.
When young Eriksen was trying out for teams, the response from Chelsea who labeled him as being too weak angered his father so much that he developed a strong hatred for the club. The West London club had rejected his son after two trials and wanted him to try out for the third time but Thomas disagreed.
Eriksen’s family includes a younger sister named Louise Eriksen who was born in 1997. Eriksen and his sister played football together as kids. Like her older brother, Louise plays in the midfield. In 2017, while playing for the Kolding Q club, she got called up to the national female team where she plays as a defensive midfielder. Eriksen maintains a very close relationship with his sister supporting her and going to watch her play whenever he can.
