Nicholas Hoult is an English-born film and television actor. He began his acting career as a child star in 1996 and has over the years amassed an enviable body of work both on the big screen and on the small screen.
Hoult rose to fame for his role in 2 seasons of the British teen series Skins and later gained massive recognition for his work in the highly successful X-Men film series in which he portrays the character Hank McCoy/the Beast. Nicholas Caradoc Hoult was welcomed to the world on December 7, 1989, in Wokingham, Berkshire by his parents Glenis (née Brown), a piano teacher, and Roger Hoult, a pilot. He has 2 sisters Rosanna and Clarista who are both TV actors and he also has an older brother named James. Hoult had his early education at The Coombes Nursery in Arborfield, Berkshire, and attended Arborfield Church of England Junior School. He enrolled to study acting at Sylvia Young Theatre School at the age of 12, but quit after 2 years and opted to attend regular school instead. He ultimately completed his secondary education at Ranelagh School in Berkshire.
