Avan Jogia Biography
This actor, singer, and activist was born on the 9th of February, 1992 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Mike and Wendy Jogia. He also has a brother called Ketan Jogia who is a music producer in London.
Growing up, Avan attended Killarney Secondary School before transferring to King George Secondary School in Vancouver. At age 17, in his tenth grade, he made the decision to pursue acting full time by traveling to the United States. Before he left, his parents provided him with an ultimatum stating that if he doesn’t land a role in Hollywood after six months, he would return to Vancouver and continue his education.
Fortunately, after arriving in Los Angeles, California, he began receiving meaningful roles allowing him to stay in Hollywood.

His father is Indian-British of Gujarati Indian descent while his mother is British-German of Irish, Welsh and German descent. His first television film was for the film A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story, released in 2006. Avan portrayed the role of Danny Araujo, the younger brother of the titular Gwen Araujo.
