Carl Marino is an actor who although does not have the longest career, has still come to be popular for his roles in productions like Homicide Hunter and I (Almost) Got Away With It. A late starter in acting, he worked as a deputy sheriff before he finally decided to become an actor. Inasmuch as he is a notoriously private individual, the following are things to know about him.
Carl Marino Bio (Age)
The former deputy sheriff and actor was born Carl Earl Marino on August 27, 1970, in upstate New York, Hornell. It is also where he was brought up alongside his three sisters by his parents, Carol Marino and Carl Marino.
As regards his education, he went to Hornell High School from where he graduated before proceeding to the United States Military Academy at West Point. In addition to that, he also attended Rochester Institute of Technology and studied Criminal Justice.
Carl Marino did not realize early enough that he was cut out for acting and because of this, he did not start early. He would go on to work as a deputy sheriff in New York for up to 17 years before he left service. He worked mostly at the Monroe County Jail.
After service, he decided to move to San Francisco in order to be closer to some members of his family that had moved there. More so, his parents had already passed by that time and he was still hurting from a bad breakup, so he felt it was good for him to move.
It gets interesting to know that before he got his first role as an actor, he had never set out to become an actor. In fact, he had never been involved in the arts at any point in his lifetime including when he was a child and in school. There was, however, a time that he worked in the theatre on lighting.
Before he signed up for modeling in California, the former sheriff did some modeling job in Rochester so modeling was not entirely new to him.
Carl Marino worked for some time as a private investigator before he joined the entertainment business. It was during this time that he crossed upon a craigslist post calling on former law enforcement officers to take part in the filming of the pilot for Trauma as background police officers. He thought it would be fun to try but he had a job on the day of the filming, forcing him to cancel what would have been his debut as an actor.
He has, thus far, appeared in a number of film and TV series including Liquor Store Cactus (2009), Trauma (2009 to 2010), Mystery Diagnosis (2010), and what still remains his most popular work; Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda which ran from 2011 to 2019.
Wife and Children, Is He Married?
Marino is a family man who has walked down the aisle a couple of times. His current wife is Ilona Marino, a woman he got married to in August 2010. Ilona was born and brought up in San Francisco which is also speculated to be where the couple first met.
While it is known that the two have maintained a very close relationship since getting married and taking part in marathon racing for charity, there is not so much in the public domain about their marriage because they are both notoriously private.
This marriage, however, is not the first for the actor as before he met and fell in love with Ilona Marino, Carl was once married. The identity of his former wife, as well as other things regarding the relationship, are all not available in the public domain. The only thing that can be confirmed is that he shares two children with his former wife.
Salary and Net Worth of Carl Marino
Carl Marino has not spent many years as an actor or even in Hollywood and does not have too many roles to his name. However, he has appeared in some highly successful productions. Thanks to this, he has a net worth that is estimated at $1 million.
While there are some sources that place his net worth to even be higher, there is no confirmation as regards his salary but it has circulated in some quarters that he takes home more than $400,000 each year.
