Florence Faivre is an actress and model who is popular for The Siam Renaissance which happens to be her first movie. She began her career when she was just 13 years old as a TV host before later delving into modeling and then acting. Florence Faivre was born on June 8, 1983, in Bangkok, Thailand. While her father was French, her mother was from Thailand. Although she was born in Bangkok, she spent the first eight years of her life in France, Aix-en-Provence before later returning to Thailand by the time she was thirteen.
The larger part of her life is dominated by her professional career which kicked off when she was only 13. At the time, she worked as the TV host for the programs – Teen Talk and E for Teen. By the time she was 14, she delved into the modeling world and began her career as a model.
The French-Thai model has graced the cover of Numero Thailand in February 2014. A month before then, she appeared on the cover of Downton Rhythm (Vogue Thailand). More so, she has advertised for 5 Gum and the Banana Republic. From 2008 to 2010, Faivre was on the Ready To War (Koi Suwannagate) fashion shows.
Acting Career
Even though she began as a TV host and moved on to become a model, it is as an actress that she came to make a name for herself. She began her acting career shortly after she graduated from high school.
The first role she took as an actress was as Maneechan in the 2004 movie, The Siam Renaissance. Her performance in the Thai historical fantasy film which was adapted from the 1986 novel of Thommayanti, Thawiphop, earned her a nomination for Suphannahong Award for best actress.
After that, she had the role of Kim in Chok-Dee in 2005, followed by The Elephant King. The Coffin which is yet another Thai film was her next project in 2008 and then Giver Taker Heartbreaker in 2009. From then on, she did not appear in any film until 2018 when she appeared in Sad Beauty as Yo.
Even though she has not appeared in many movies, she also has a number of TV productions to her credit. In most, however, she only made brief appearances in single episodes. She made a guest appearance in Kings (2009) as a Hot Secretary in two episodes. 2010 saw her appearing in an episode of How to Make It in America as Celine. In 2014, she was Serena and Teata Takaria in The Following and Alpha House respectively.
From 2015 to 2017, she got the main role of Juliette “Julie” Andromeda Mao in The Expanse. This was followed by minor roles in Time After Time and Bull in 2017. She was in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Sinara from 2017 to 2018, playing a recurring role.
For her role in American Mirror – Intimations of Immortality (2018), Florence Faivre got a DOC LA Award nomination for best actress in 2018.
