Gregg Jarrett is a famous media personality who has come to be known for his work on Fox News as a news anchor and commentator. He is also a defense attorney and author. With great media experience, he has worked with various big media outfits including Court TV and MSNBC in the past before joining Fox News Channel in 2002.

In the political scene, Gregg has come out as a very strong supporter of President Donald Trump most especially as regards the Russian Interference probe. Lending in his voice, he has always described the probe as a hoax.

Even though in the media world he is simply known as Gregg Jarrett, it was as Gregory Walter Jarrett that the Fox News Channel anchor was born on April 7, 1955, in Los Angeles California. He was, however, raised in San Marino, California.

He was brought up in an academic family with both parents said to be teachers. While information about his childhood remains sketchy, it is known that he was raised alongside a sister who has also towed the path of their parents by becoming a teacher. The names of his parents and sister are not known.

For his education, Greg went to San Marino High School from where he graduated in 1973. Next, he went to Claremont Men’s College where he graduated magna cum laude in 1977, obtaining a political science degree. With his eyes set on becoming a legal practitioner, he was off again to the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and then he graduated in 1980.

After he was through with his education, Gregg Jarrett started work with the firm of Gordon & Rees LLP in San Francisco.

His career in the media did not begin with Fox News Channel. He once worked with MSNBC as a news anchor and correspondent. While with the network, he has handled a lot of very important things including the coverage of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict as well as the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In addition to that, Gregg Jarrett also worked with Court TV as an anchor. There, he spent close to a decade. His resume also shows that he has worked for a number of local media stations in places like San Francesco where he worked with KCSM-TV (PBS), in Salisbury where he worked with WMDT-TV (ABC 9), and in Wichita with KSNW-TV (NBC 3), among others.

A career at Fox News

It was in 2002 that he started his career with Fox News Channel which would span well over a decade. With the channel, he has been involved in a lot of things. He co-anchored weekend newscasts with Heather Childers.

He later covered many things including the US presidential elections from 2004 to 2012, the murder trial of George Zimmerman, the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, and also Pope Francis’s inauguration.

In 2014, following what he described as personal reasons, Gregg Jarrett took a leave of absence. Later, he got arrested for interfering with Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport police in an intoxicated state. He later pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. It was subsequently revealed that he was having some issues that saw him checking into rehab. He, however, returned back to work later in the same year.

At the moment, he is a legal analyst who also provides commentary for FNC as well as FOX Business Network (FBN).

Gregg Jarrett is a family man who is married to his wife, Catherine Kennedy Anderson. Inasmuch as it has not been revealed how they met, it is known that they have been married since 1993.

With more than a decade as a married couple, Greg and Catherine who works as a realtor are blessed with two kids Grace and Olivia and the family lives in New York.

After his rehabilitation which was due to addiction, the Fox News anchor revealed that he had Fox CEO Roger Ailes and also his wife and kids to thank for his recovery as they were there to offer him the support he needed.
