Patti has been married three times with her first husband being French actor, Roger Miremont who she tied the knot within 1975. The marriage met its end after five years in 1980. In the same year, she married Steven Curry but the union still failed as she divorced him less than a year later in 1981. She then dated Mick Jagger and Bud Cort before falling into a romantic relationship with fellow actor, director, producer, singer, and songwriter, Don Johnson.

With Don, she had her first child, Jesse Wayne Johnson (b. 1982). The relationship lasted for years before hitting the rocks in 1986. She tried her luck at marriage again when she got married to former New York City firefighter, Terry Quinn in 1993. She and Terry have three children, Emmelyn (b. 1990), Alexandra (b. 1991), and Liam (b. 1992). Their relationship crashed in 2002 but it remains her longest marriage.
