The talented Paul Richardson is a football wide receiver who currently plays for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). Before his fame and fortune via the sport, Paul was already a breakout star when he was part of his football team at Los Alamitos High School as well as Junipero Serra High School. As a result of his impressive on-field performance in terms of his ability and speed, he was made a part of a First-Team All-Pac-12 selection at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Paul Richardson – Bio

Paul Richardson Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California on the 13th of April, 1992. His father Paul Richardson Sr. signed with the Philadelphia Eagles when he was much younger. Paul also has two brothers named, Dymund and De-Jon, who are twins. As a young man in his teens, Paul Richardson attended high school at, “Junípero Serra,” located in Gardena, California. He later transferred to Los Alamitos High School which is located in Los Alamitos, California.

The young lad was very active as an athlete in high school; he was part of the school’s basketball team as a letterman and he also ran track. His record on track includes; 21.0 seconds in the 200 meters race, 40.66 seconds in the 4×100, and a personal career-best time of 10.62 in the 100 meters race. With regards to football, Paul had 28 touchdowns, and 110 receptions for 1,948 yards.

Upon graduation from high school, Paul Richardson first gained admission into UCLA, but after he alongside his cousin, Shaquille Richardson, and one of his teammates, Josh Shirley, were involved in a purse theft, they were placed under arrest for the felony and it subsequently led to Paul’s dismissal from the football team. After this ordeal, he transferred to the University of Colorado Boulder in 2010, where he played a total of 12 games, with a record of 6 touchdowns and 34 receptions for 514 yards.

In 2011, as a sophomore in the university, Paul recorded five touchdowns and 39 receptions for 555 yards in a total of nine-game appearances. Unfortunately, an ACL injury caused him to miss the 2012 season. He, however, recovered just in time for the 2013 season, where he was able to function as a starter and set a record for receiving yards in a season of 1201 yards. As a result of a great season outing, Paul Richardson then declared his intention to be drafted for the 2014 NFL Draft.

NFL Draft And Pro Career

Luckily he was Selected in the second round (45th overall) by the “Seattle Seahawks” in the 2014 NFL Draft. In his rookie season with Seattle Seahawks, Richardson did well to finish with a touchdown and 29 receptions for 271 yards. In one of the games in Seattle’s opening divisional playoff against the Carolina Panthers, Paul Richardson went down after just a single reception for 21 yards. It was believed that he sprained his knee but later found out that it was a reoccurrence of the torn ACL after further diagnoses.

In 2016, Richardson recorded a one-handed touchdown catch on 4th and goal as well as three catches for 48 yards during the Wild Card round of the playoff against the Detroit Lions. 2017 happened to be a good year for the champ as he recorded the best season of his career with highs in receiving yards, receptions as well as touchdowns. On the 15th of March 2018, Paul Richardson was signed by the Washington Redskins on a whopping $40 million deal for a five-year period.
